There was a family with 3 children-all girls- who loved the outdoors. They always went on family vacations and camping trips and sporting activities together. They were a very close-knit family. One weekend, they decided to take a camping trip. This is the story of their weekend.
Preparation was a big part of their camping trips. They had to make sure that they had all of their clothes, food, camping tents, bug spray, and, of course, their Coleman roadtrip grill and Coleman roadtrip grill accessories. They also had a ski boat, so that also had to be prepared. Everyone pitched in and did his part, though. That was what made it all fun. No one had to carry all of the responsibility.
Well, everything finally was packed, and they were on their way. The whole family even made the car trip fun. They memorized the states, the alphabet backward, the planets in order, and sang like nothing else. They loved to do harmony, and also sing crazy, silly songs.
When they finally reached their destination, they all chose the best spot they could find to set up camp. It was fairly early in the day, so they set up camp and started unpacking. They set up the Coleman tent, unpacked their Coleman roadtrip grill and their Coleman roadtrip grill accessories, and ate lunch.
They were all full of energy after they got done eating, so they decided to go on a bike-ride. They rode up hills and sped down them. They stopped and took pictures several places, and even hiked up a few trails that they passed. Toward the end of their bike-ride, they were on a bike trail in the woods. It had rained quite a bit in the past couple of days, so the ground was still a little soft. In one particular, place, it was extremely muddy. The youngest girl’s bike got stuck in the mud, so the whole family joined in to help get the bike un-stuck. This all had caused her tires to go flat, but no one wanted her to have to walk her bike alone, so they all walked back to the campsite with her.
By the time all of this had expired, everyone was hot and sweaty, and ready for the water. They all excitedly changed into their swimming clothes, and headed for the boat. They all had a wonderful time on the water. They water skied, inter-tubed, and swam. The kids were even allowed to help drive the boat with their parents‘ help.
By the time they got back to their campsite, everyone was worn out and hungry. After showers, the Father and 2 of the children helped to start a fire. The kids really enjoyed seeing who could find the most sticks to use. The mother and the other child helped to prepare supper on the Coleman roadtrip grill. Before long, supper was ready, and everyone sat down to a tasty meal around the fire. After they were down eating, they all sang softly as they roasted marshmallows for dessert. After thanking the Lord for their wonderful day, they retired to bed. |
